How can doctors perform a comprehensive sleep apnea diagnosis? Michelle Sands, our Sleep Director, says the key to getting an accurate diagnosis lies in whether or not the patient is sleeping comfortably during the test. She told Patient Daily “We can get a better diagnosis when the patient is comfortable while sleeping.” There are many approaches to securing a diagnosis, including spending the night in a sleep lab. However, that results in less comfortable sleep, as patients are connected to several machines while they try to get a good night’s sleep. This can cause discomfort that makes falling asleep more challenging.

At Silent Night Therapy we offer an at-home sleep test that can help determine whether or not our patients have sleep apnea from the comfort of their own beds.
